Opening- Expert System Engineer

***This position requires an active TS/SCI Security Clearance***

As an Expert Systems Engineer, specific responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

Duties:

  1. Assist the Government in directing requirements engineering, solutions engineering, scheduling, reliability, resiliency, services development, integration, test and evaluation, maintainability and analysis across the NSG, (ASG and Federal Agencies.
  2. Assist with the planning, analysis/traceability of user requirements, architectures traceability, procedures, and problems to automate or improve existing systems and review cloud service capabilities, workflow, and scheduling limitations.  
  3. Work directly with Product Manager(s) and other PMO customers, to identify new and emerging mission requirements.  
  4. Advise the Government on proposed changes to the solutions designs based on analysis of requirements and new technology.  
  5. Assist the Government in the capture and translation of mission and customer requirements/needs into systems/capability requirements and solutions.
  6. Support the analyses and allocation of requirements to systems architecture components and executing programs.
  7. Assist the Government in performing systems integration activities.
  8. Supports AoAs, CoAs, Trade Studies, and Engineering Assessments.
  9. Assist the Government in strategic technical planning, project management, performance engineering, risk management and interface design.
  10. Provide expert advice to the Government in the areas of relating vision, strategy, plans, needs, requirements, and process and capability developments.
  11. Support integration of systems across organizational, agency, department, and governmental/national boundaries.
  12. Oversee and coordinate the work of Senior-, Mid-, and Junior-level contractor Systems Engineers.

Required Qualifications:

  1. Master’s degree or higher in Systems Engineering or in related technical or scientific fields such as engineering, physics, mathematics, operations research, engineering management, Computer Science, Information Technology, Management Information Systems, or related STEM degree.
  2. Expert-level  experience in government or industry in relevant work areas including: DoD/IC Acquisition Process, Requirements Process, PPBES Process or system engineering of large complex System of Systems or Service Oriented Architecture/Cloud environments.
  3. Demonstrated expert-level experience of systems engineering lifecycle.
  4. Demonstrated experience with the use of Software Development and DevSecOps Frameworks.
  5. Possess a Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) 4 Certified Agilist certification or higher.

Desired Qualifications:

  1. Expert-level experience in the field of geospatial intelligence.
  2. Expert-level experience of MBSE, processes, tools and languages.
  3. Demonstrated experience of the current NSG/ASG and IC enterprises.  
  4. Demonstrated experience engineering solutions using structured and unstructured Big Data, AAA technologies, and Cloud-based technologies.
  5. Demonstrated experience in photogrammetry, remote sensing, image science, information sciences, geographic information systems, geomatics, or related fields.
